CHILDREN'S FAITH FORMATION (CCE)
PRE-K4 - 5TH GRADE

Sunday Faith Formation (CCE)

Our hybrid program encourages children and parents to grow together in learning our Catholic faith! We partner with you to enrich your child's catechesis. Our program includes 50% on-campus, in person classes with the remaining 50% as parent-taught home school lessons. With an emphasis on knowing Jesus Christ, and becoming active disciples, children learn about their faith along with their peers in the St. Michael community. The Children's Faith Formation ministry programs are for children in Pre-K4 through the 5th grade. Young children must be fully potty trained to participate in CFF programs. The in-person classes are from 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. held in the St. Michael's Catholic School building.

Adult and youth volunteers serve as catechists, classroom assistants, prayer leaders, and more. Please contact Lana Jezierski if you would like to volunteer for any of our Children's Faith Formation programs.

HOME SCHOOL OPTION

Families interested in a completely parent-taught program are welcomed to register for our Home School option. Parents will be provided with books and a schedule of lessons.

Home school families are also included in our Recreated - Family Catechesis Days!

PREPARING FOR THE SACRAMENTS OF FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST EUCHARIST

The Children Faith Formation ministry partners with parents to prepare their children to celebrate God’s forgiveness in the celebration of First Reconciliation, and to receive Jesus for the first time in the celebration of First Eucharist. Second grade students must be baptized in the Catholic faith and be in their 2nd continuous year of Faith Formation at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church OR in their 2nd continuous year of religion classes in a Catholic school.

If you would like your child to participate in the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, you must register your child in Sunday Faith Formation, or a Catholic school and our Sacrament Preparation program. Registering a child solely in Sunday Faith Formation, Home School Faith Formation, or a Catholic school does not automatically register a child in the Sacrament Preparation program.

Children who have celebrated their 6th birthday and who have not been baptized will receive their sacraments through St. Michael the Archangel's Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults-Adapted for Children program (see RCIA-Adapted).

RCIA - ADAPTED FOR CHILDREN

Children ages 6 and older who were not baptized Catholic, but would like to become Catholic, can be enrolled in the RCIA-Adapted for Children program as early as their Kindergarten or 1st grade year. The office of Children Faith Formation prepares children for the sacraments who are in grades 2nd through 5th. Please contact Lana Jezierski for Children Faith Formation.

Teens in grades 6th-8th should contact Laura Rodriguez for Youth Faith Formation.
