The Sociable Seniors is a vibrant part of the St. Michael community with a membership of over 200.
Its mission is to promote fellowship and camaraderie among seniors of all faiths, create a neighborly spirit, and to sponsor various charities as determined by the members.
Membership is available to those aged 55 or older, and prospective new members and visitors are always welcome. Present annual dues are $12.
The group meets on the first Monday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Parish Life Center (PLC), At each meeting there is a program presented and refreshments served following the program.
At least once a month the Sociable Seniors schedule an outing or activity to participate in and around the Houston area, In addition, group travel opportunities are presented periodically.
The group also sponsors a weekly bridge and Mah Jongg opportunity for those wishing to play. Contact Fran Dermody for Wednesday Mah Jongg at 713-622-0601 and Helen Lewis 713-789-0169 for Thursday Bridge.
