Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism for infants is celebrated the afternoon of the 1st and 4th Sunday of each month. First-timeParents are to attend 2 preparation classes which are held on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Parents preparing for a second or subsequent chid attend one class held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. It is recommended that the classes be attended during the second trimester of pregnancy so that the child can be baptized as soon after birth as possible. Sponsors are welcomed but not required to attend. Please call the Office to register.
Children who have obtained seven years of age are to be involved in their preparation for the sacraments. Please contact the Children’s Faith Formation Office for information on the Rite of Christian Initiation Adapted for Children.
Holy Communion
Any ill or frail parishioner who is in need of having Holy Communion brought to them at home or a nursing home located within the parish boundaries should contact Fr. Joseph Howard.
For preparation for reception of First Eucharist, please contact the Children’s Faith Formation Office.
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in the church on Saturdays, 4 – 5 p.m. and on Tuesdays, 6 – 7 p.m. or by appointment with a priest.
Anointing of the Sick
Any parishioner who is scheduled for serious surgery should receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick prior to the hospitalization. Please contact one of the priests to arrange for a time to celebrate the sacrament. Parishioners in danger of death due to sickness or old age should be anointed and receive viaticum. Please contact the parish office or after-hours emergency number for the ministry of a priest.
Marriage
Engaged couples desiring to marry in the Church need to attend an introductory marriage preparation class, which is offered monthly, to begin the preparation process. A minimum of six months is required for preparation and the process can take longer depending on the situation of the couple. Please contact Deacon Nick Caruso for information and registration.
Confirmation
The preparation program for the Sacrament of Confirmation takes place during the sophomore year of high school with the sacrament being celebrated during the fall semester of the junior year (depending on the schedule of the ordaining bishop). Please contact the Office of Youth Ministry for information.
Adults who have not been confirmed should contact the Office of Adult Formation for information on sacramental preparation.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Non-Catholics (non-baptized or baptized in a non-Catholic Christian denomination) who are interested in learning about the Catholic faith with the possibility of becoming Catholic should contact the Office of Adult Formation.
