About the Society of St. Vincent de Paul
It is our mission at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to bring the love and compassion of Christ to those in need and provides assistance in overcoming a temporary crisis.
Our volunteers, known throughout the world as Vincentians, go in pairs into the homes of those in need to extend a hand of friendship and determine how we can best provide assistance. We serve those who live in the 77056, 77057 and the 77063 areas, as well as a portion of the 77027 area within our Parish.

We rely entirely upon your generosity to reach out to those who need emergency assistance with food, clothing, furniture, medicine, rent, utility payments and other basic necessities.
The St. Michael Vincentians can personally attest to the desperation of these “friends in need” and to the comfort they receive from knowing that someone cares. These friends are typically living “on-the-edge” financially due to low wages, disabilities or age and are facing a crisis from losing their job, personal or family illness, pay cuts from staying home with a sick child, an unexpected medical bill or other expense.
All of your donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Michaels Church go directly to helping those in need. Thank you for your generosity since the requests we receive for assistance far exceed our available funds.
