Deacon Ken Scheiber

Deacon Ken Scheiber is originally from New Haven, CT where he graduated from North Branford High School in 2003. In 2007, he went on to graduate from the University of Mary Washington with a BA in International Affairs. He began his educational career shortly thereafter by teaching at Christ School: Episcopal School for Boys in Asheville, NC before moving on to work in Catholic education for the Xaverian Brothers at St. Mary's-Ryken High School in 2009 where he has received multiple recognitions for teaching excellence and instructional coaching. 

He was ordained as a Permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of Washington DC in 2021 where he has done ministry work in clergy formation, spiritual direction, apologetics, adult education, Catholic education, and jail ministry. He and his wife, Lacy, have been married since 2011. Deacon Ken is an avid reader who also enjoys baseball, singing, distance running, and classic film.

• MA in World Politics from Catholic University of America
• Certificate in Catholic School Leadership from University of Dallas 
• Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Franciscan University of Steubenville

While he remains incardinated in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., Deacon Ken now serves as Assistant Head of School at Cathedral High School, adjacent to Our Lady of Walsingham Cathedral, in Houston.

Deacon Ken has been assigned to serve at St. Michael the Archangel parish by Archbishop Joe Vasquez.
